Erin Country House - a Karoo Experience
The Great Karoo is the vast central plateau of South Africa, with landscapes on a grand scale, sweeping skies and wide horizons, silence and champagne air, where nature reigns majestically. On the eastern fringe, in the geographical area also known as the Karoo Heartland, stands the small market town of Middelburg and 10 km south of Middelburg, close to the N9 main route to Port Elizabeth and the Garden Route, is Erin Country House.

Middelburg, as the name implies, lies in the very centre of a circle of other platteland towns and within easy reach of Erin Country House are attractions such as the incomparably beautiful and historic town of Graaff-Reinet with the Valley of Desolation and the Camdeboo National Park, the picturesque little town of Nieu Bethesda with its renowned and eccentric Owl House as well as Fossil Centre and the Mountain Zebra National Park near Cradock not to mention the attractions in Cradock itself.
Erin Country House offers a variety of accommodation and guests can choose between bed and breakfast, dinner, bed and breakfast or self-catering options.
